- Prof. Dr. Wael ElShaer graduated from the prestigious Cairo University, Egypt and did his residency program at the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al-Aini Hospital. He secured the highest mark in M.B.B.ch, M.Sc. in General and Plastic Surgery and Doctorate degree in General and Plastic Surgery (M.D.). He is working as a Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery & the dean of Faculty of Medicine – Beni-Suef University.

Prof. Dr. ElShaer has many articles published in national and international aesthetic, plastic, burn, and general surgery journals. He published many innovative new techniques especially in burn contractures, ingrown toenail, pilonidal disease, and endoscopic plastic surgery

He was chosen as an international reviewer in Medical Science Monitor Journal and in European Surgical Research Journal, as international Reviewer in the American Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery journal (PRS), Honorary Member of the editorial board of Open Access Surgery, Associate Editorial Board Member of International Journal of Burns and Trauma (IJBT), and since 2016 is a Reviewer for the Scientific Committee for Staff Member Promotion – Supreme Council of Universities – Ministry of Higher Education. He joined the American Obesity Association as a professional provider (AOA). He is a Life Member of Association of Plastic Surgeons (ESPRS), (IPRAS) & Egyptian Society of General Surgeons.
